According to the U.S. Federal law, human traffic is defined as: Sex trafficking in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act has not attained 18 years of age; or The recruitment, harboring, transportation provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.
U.S. Statistics: Human trafficking exists all over the United States, but California is a hot spot for domestic and international human trafficking because of its large population, international borders, large economy, extensive ports, and metropolitan regions.
Many victims are runaway girls who have already suffered sexual abuse as children. The average entry age of American minors into the sex trade is 12-14 years old. California harbors 3 of FBI’s 13 highest child sex trafficking areas in the nation: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego. Foreign nationals are also brought into the U.S. as slaves for labor or commercial sex through force or fraud. The prevalence and anonymity of the internet has fueled the rapid growth of sex trafficking, making the trade of women and children easier than ever before.
Is LCT due for a correction or are they just being politically correct? Alleged terrorist attack on America...really?

Turning A Blind Eye To Justice
When Lassen County District Attorney Robert Burns and other former DAs were turning a blind eye to justice, the California Attorney General office sent Maggy Krell to prosecute a 20 year old murder case in Lassen County that the DA's office claimed to be "unsolvable" or "not winnable". With Krell's wisdom and passion for justice, she obtained a first-degree murder conviction against Wayne Lee Bowen in the 1988 shooting death of a one-time associate in a Nevada burglary ring, Kevin Behn.
In 2011, former DA Burns again turned a blind eye to justice and did nothing in the Angel Siler's murder case claiming the case was not provable. It was not until nearly 4 years later after Burns was out of office that the new DA Stacey Montogomery, "a voice for the voiceless", filed charges against William Romero for the murder of Angel Siler.
Was Burns just too busy getting "snow jobs" (sic) from criminals and friends that caused him to turn a blind eye to justice?
The people in Lassen County deserves better than what Burns have to offered them as district attorney and now county counsel. We respectfully ask him to resign, since the Board of Supervisors will not man-up to it.

Report Government Fraud, Waste and Abuse
The California State Controllers Office created the Public Pay website during the 2010 salary scandal in the City of Bell to promote government transparency and help prevent such problems from ever happening again. Controller's audit authority is directed at ensuring that taxpayer dollars spent at the State and local level are free of fraud, waste and abuse. The Controller is authorized to perform field audits of all state agencies and their programs at his or her discretion, or as directed by statute, or as requested by state agencies or the federal government to address fraud, waste and abuse and to produce revenue. As part of his or her Constitutional responsibility, the Controller also conducts field audits of school districts, community colleges and other local government agencies to identify unallowable uses of State and federal dollars for a variety of programs.
Report government fraud, waste and abuse, such as misusing government credit cards for personal use, getting paid more than contract allows, making loans to business that are not capable of repaying the loans back just to name a few. The Whistleblower hotline phone number is (800) 952-5665 or send email to email@example.com
Local News Being Covered By Rolling Stone
August 31, 2015, an article was published in the Rolling Stone magazine, High Desert Suicide: Was A Prison Guard Hazed To Death? Behind the prison walls, prison guards are not only harassed by the inmates, but also by their fellow workers according to Scott Jones' wife, Janelle. She has sued the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and the former warden of High Desert Prison, alleging that her husband was harassed for reporting misconduct until he became so depressed that he took his own life.
In addition to the deaths of Jones, at least four other Correctional Officers have committed suicide in recent years. Officer Donald Anderson killed himself in 2012, after being harassed by other officers and called an "inmate lover". Gregory Thompson killed himself in 2013, after being stabbed eight times by an inmate in the neck, shoulder and arm. A female officer took her life in a parking garage in Reno on the Fourth of July in 2010. December 2008, Officer Shawn Ryberg, committed suicide, who was also said to have been harassed.

Ocean Front Property For Sale In Lassen County
Just another Monday morning, sitting here with a cup of coffee, until I started reading an article "Lassen County Is A Great Place To Live and Work". I laughed so hard that I spewed coffee all over myself. At first, I thought it was another one of Jim Chapman's rambling articles, but to my surprise, I seen the name Jeff Hemphill, claiming ownership of it.
Let me try to sum this article up, apparently Hemphill is trying to justify his vote to give $4,000 of the hard working taxpayers money to the Lassen County Chambers of Commerce to enter a contest that they may or may not win. Isn't this like gambling with taxpayers money? I have not heard anyone say how the money will benefit the people in Lassen County or should they just be happy to be recognized by Corporate America? Hemphill quoted, "Being recognized by Corporate America for that is something for everyone who lives and works in Lassen County should be talking about." Really? Is that so? Corporate America should be the one laughing, saying, "Isn't this the same county that rejects growth and does not want any big corporate business into their little hidden secret community? Isn't this the same place that has the inbred politics of cronyism that has regurgitated a 40 year-career-politician as their board of supervisor and hires their friend, former DA as county counsel?"
What is the main tourist attraction in Lassen County? Government Corruption? Or a few fast food chains? Some of the business do catch a few bread crumbs from the tourist passing through to Reno and Lake Tahoe, while the corrupt officials feast on the hard earned taxpayers money, boasting about what a good job they are doing for the community.
The next thing we will be reading about is "Lassen County has ocean front property for sale" to pump up the economy.
Lassen County Board of Supervisors...do the right thing and give the Sheriffs department a raise. Stop wasting money on frivolous things and awarding inflated salaries to yourselves, CAO Egan and County Counsel Burns, who are not risking their lives for public safety. You guys are an embarrassment to the good people in Lassen County. You are doing exactly what the criminals want...keeping the Sheriffs Department underpaid and understaffed so that public safety is at risk!
Revelation 18: 14-19
14 “They will say, ‘The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your luxury and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.’ 15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16 and cry out:
“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,
dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet,
and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
17 In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’
“Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. 18 When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, ‘Was there ever a city like this great city?’ 19 They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’

Joseph Interprets Pharaoh's Dreams

The Scales of Justice Off Balanced
Under former DA Robert Burns watch, the scales of justice appeared to be drastically off balanced. In 2003, Tyler was passing through Susanville with his family on his way to Carson City for a job, who was caught shoplifting food and diapers for his kids. Tyler was sentenced 16 months in prison, who now has a felony conviction on his record. The previous year, 2002, a local Bustamante was convicted with a DUI manslaughter/without negligency is sentence a low term of 16 months, while Bustamante's records appear to be sealed, TICKLER: PROBATION REPT CONFIDENTIAL - SEALED.
